Come visit the MAA Library’s current exhibit: Bill Reid (1920-1998), located in the display cabinets on Level 4 of the Ridington Room. This exhibit honours the centenary of the birth of Haida artist Bill Reid, one of Canada’s most distinguished sculptors. Materials from the MAA Library’s holdings have been highlighted, including items from the Canadian Art Exhibition Catalogues Collection and the Vertical Artist Files. A master carver, goldsmith, writer, and social activist, Reid is celebrated for his work in silver, gold, wood, and argillite.
