Diana E.M. Cooper Endowment Fund
Diana’s passion for the fine arts and teaching was clearly demonstrated by her education and career path. Diana graduated from UBC with a Fine Arts Degree in 1964, and went on to obtain her Bachelor of Library Science in 1965. As a newly graduated librarian, Diana started her professional career at UBC Library. From 1965 to 2004, she worked as a Fine Arts Reference Librarian. During this time, she facilitated numerous partnerships to build UBC’s fine arts collection, dedicating her boundless energy to new projects, exhibits, writing and teaching. Through this process, she built lasting relationships with faculty, staff and students. During her long career, UBC Library also benefited from her talent as an artist, with many of her colourful sketches and watercolours adorning numerous resources on the Library website. To see a sample of her work visit: The Art of Diana Cooper.
